Sometimes, when reconstituting peptides, you may notice that the solution appears cloudy or the peptide doesn’t fully dissolve. Don’t worry—this doesn’t necessarily mean the product is bad. Here are a few things you can do:
- Be Patient – Some peptides take a bit longer to dissolve. Gently swirl the vial (don’t shake) and give it a few minutes.
- Use the Right Solvent – Make sure you’re using the correct diluent. Bacteriostatic water is common, but some peptides dissolve better in acetic acid or sterile saline. Contact your supplier for the recommended solvent.
- Warm It Slightly – If the peptide still doesn’t dissolve, you can warm the vial slightly by holding it in your hand or placing it in a warm water bath (27℃-35℃) for a minute or two. This can help stubborn particles dissolve.
- Check for Precipitation – If there’s still cloudiness or particles, let the vial sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. If the cloudiness remains, it’s best to consult your supplier for further guidance.
